It seems like watch brands are evermore embracing all types of diverse horology communities by developing custom limited editions. The latest example of this trend has occurred in Silicon Valley, where a group known as the “Collective” has opted for mechanical watches instead of the more “techie” smart watches. As a sign of appreciation Zenith has released the “Chronomaster El Primero C.01”.

The 38mm case is made of stainless-steel with a brushed and polished finish, while on the flip-side we encounter a see-through sapphire crystal exhibition case back, which allows to view the inner works of the mechanical movement.

They have preserved the case bands and the distinctive lugs, which have been a mainstay on this model throughout most of its iterations. It also comes equipped with two mushroom-style push-pieces to operate the chronograph functions. All topped by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, which also assists with water-resistance on this watch reaching up to 100 meters (330 feet).

Time is exhibited on a white dial with steel applied hour index markers, followed by small white printed minute markers on a grey ring background. Subsequently is a white ring circling the periphery of the dial with a tachymeter scale.
