Vacheron Constantin Historiques Cornes de vache 1955 Chronograph 3

The latest release by Vacheron Constantin is a contemporary interpretation of a model they created back in 1955, bearing the reference# 6087. It was the first water-resistant and anti-magnetic chronograph they manufactured and now is relaunched, introducing the: Vacheron Constantin Historiques Cornes de Vache 1955.

One of the main features of this 38.5mm case watch is its “cow horns” lug, which translates to “cornes de vache” lugs, and gave this watch its name and unique characteristic. The case is in platinum with polished lugs and round chrono pushers on either side of the crown. The watches caseback is screwed-in and fitted with a transparent sapphire crystal which allows to visualize its movement.

The dial on this timepiece is a smooth silver-toned opaline, with Roman numerals, applied hour-markers and hands in 18k white gold. The model maintains the 30-minute counter at the 3 o’clock position and small hands at the 9 o’clock position, like it was featured in the original version, 60 years ago. Also includes a tachometric scale and a center-set seconds hand in a tone of blue.
