With summer season officially upon us here in NYC and the rest of the northern hemisphere. Many of us have begun to turn our heads in search of the proper timepiece. For those still wasting time iN the search, we today offer a few suggestions from our current inventory.
There are a few key elements to keep in mind, such as: if it’s hot we’re probably gonna end up in the water at some point, so water-resistance is a total priority! Unless we want to turn our smiles upside down. It should also be a watch we pride ourselves of, but wouldn’t be mortified if it gained some scuffs and dings during a sizzling adventure!
Finally although we’ve got nothing against leather and actually tend to prefer it. If times go as planned there will be a fair amount of sweating, so going for rubber or seeking out the coolness of a bracelet, can be a preferred option.

The “Breitling 42mm Superocean Heritage” (Ref#: A1732124/BA61) is a classic diver’s watch which was designed to resemble its 1950’s model in this version. It also is available in a 46mm, but for those that have smaller wrist, or like to avoid being flashy, 42mm is the way to go. A great dive watch that can be a more affordable and very viable option for those who can’t afford a Rolex Submariner.
Powered by a self-winding mechanical movement, Breitling in-house caliber B17 with 25 jewels and 28,800vph. Power reserve on this watch can last up to 42 hours, when fully wound. Mounted on an OEM Breitling Diver Pro III black rubber strap, secured to the wrist by a Breitling stainless-steel deployment buckle.
Rolex 40mm Explorer II
Rolex 40mm Explorer II” (Ref#: 16570)
The “Rolex 40mm Explorer II” (Ref#: 16570) is a watch that sometimes gets overlooked for the more prestigious Submariner or the GMT-Master, but this is still a Rolex a great one at that. Originally introduced back in the early 1970’s this timepiece used to have an orange hand, before going red (like on the version we have in stock). A fine summer watch that will can be “cool” in more than one way, especially mounted to a Rubber B strap.

A handy feature for those on adventurous vacations. Plus instead of traveling with various watches, you can just opt for carrying several strap options!

Omega 42mm Seamaster Professional 300M Chronograph “James Bond”
The “Omega 42mm Seamaster Professional 300M Chronograph ‘James Bond“‘ (Ref#: 2225.80.00) this is the iconic model watch with links to the James Bond universe! Its gorgeous blue dial with the Omega waves makes it stand out for previous models and features skeletonized hands. Some mention the weight of this timepiece as an issue, while others claims it’s one of the main appeals. Those who prefer a lighter feel can always swap out the bracelet for a NATO strap. But, this watches bracelet has been attentively crafted and is quite admired for its comfort. Designed with brood channels between links to avoid pinching and pulling hairs; while also having a folding clasp that includes a diver’s extension to fit over a wetsuit or a drysuit.

Officine Panerai 47mm Luminor Submersible 1950 Chrono 1000M Special Edition
The “Officine Panerai 47mm Luminor Submersible 1950 Chronograph 1000M Special Edition” (Ref#: PAM 187) this watch was a special edition with only 100 manufactured pieces and its an extremely over-sized sports watch. But, an ideal watch for divers being equipped with a chronograph and a 1000 meter dive capability. The right side of the case includes a helium escape to assist in withstanding against exotic oxygen and gas mixtures; and cope with extreme diving conditions. It’s a hefty timepiece, but its rubber strap was made with that in mind and offers ergonomic ease pulling straight down when tighten, for a secure fit. The fold designs of the strap curve and bend to adapt comfortably on a smaller wrist, so if in doubt just give it a try!
