Some, had already hopefully predicted that a new version of the “bronzo” could be in the making and it has now officially arrived. This will be the 3rd generation of a bronze model by Officine Panerai. After their reference numbers PAM 382 and PAM 507, both with a sleek green dial; we’re now introduced to the PAM 671 with a new blue color option.

Equipped with a brushed bronze counter-rotating unidirectional bezel with polished edges; and a graduated scale for measuring the duration of diving immersions, with ratchet clicks for each five minute interval. When buying a watch made of this material, one should already keep in mind that its look will gain patina with time. But, most people not only are aware of this fact, as it’s this particularity that attracts much of the allure for these timepieces. Because besides it coming with a “timely” look and feel right from the start. The idea of “physically” aging alongside a watch one carries has an endearing quality to it. And the limited edition nature of this watch, plus its destined patina, imbue it with character and uniqueness.

Time is exhibited on a blue dial with bronze applied hour index markers. Both the hands and hour index markers have undergone a luminescent coating, for an enhanced legibility. The P.9010 caliber movement installed in this timepiece features the ability to independently adjust the hour hand without interfering with the seconds; a handy mechanism for frequent travelers or those moving thru winter and summer time-zones. There is also a sub-dial at the 9 o’clock position and a date aperture at the 3 o’clock position.
