Oris began its partnership with the “Williams Formula 1” team, back in 2003. Since then they have released several limited edition timepieces, during these last 15 years. The watch has appropriately adopted a color-scheme and design cues, following those seen on the Martini race cars. We previously also reviewed the “Oris Williams 40th Anniversary” (Ref#: 01 673 7739 4084-Set LS) that is also part of this successful on going joint venture, which you can read more about here.

Time is exhibited on a black carbon fiber dial with the Arabic numerals 3 and 9, plus a 60-minute scale in a two-digit numeral format, for every five-minute increment circling the dial. There are three sub-dials: a 12-hour counter at the 6 o’clock position; a sub-seconds at the 9 o’clock position; and a 30-minute counter at the 12 o’clock position.

Keeping with the “Martini Racing” theme there are some blue and red stripes on the center left-side portion of the dial, while circling around the dials flange are a series of small blue second index markers and red markers for every minute-increment. Two of the sub-dials also have a blued hand, as well as the large central blue hand that indicates the current date, on the calendar ring that can be seen on the inner right-side portion of the dial.
