Omega has released an exclusive boutique edition watch for Switzerland, which features some of the country’s most emblematic natural surroundings and famous architecture laser engraved on its case back. Despite its regional exclusivity this new “Omega Seamaster Exclusive Boutique Switzerland Limited Edition” possesses a mesmerizing dial and we just had to take a closer look.

The 39.5mm case is made of stainless stainless-steel with a transparent case back, which allows to view the inner workings of the mechanical movement. It is a modern in-house movement that has been crafted with a rhodium plated finish and decorated with Geneva waves in an arabesque finish.

Meanwhile on the circumference of this case back we can see some of Switzerland’s most iconic landscaped etched out, like the breathtaking mountains of the Swiss Alps, Zurich’s Grossmünster, the Jet d’Eau of Geneva and even Omega’s own factory in Bienne.

All these images have been laser engraved on the grey inner ring that is framing the caliber 8800, seen via the exhibition case back. Plus on the side on the case is engraved the unique limited edition number for each of these boutique exclusive timepieces.

All topped by a domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides, which also assists with water-resistance being able to reach up to 60 meters (200 feet).

Time is exhibited on a grey dial with 18k Sedna™ gold hour index markers and an inner ring of small discreetly printed black minute index markers. But, simply stating this is a “grey” dial does not do it justice. This is an exquisite smoky grey lacquered domed dial with an alluring gradient effect.

It also comes equipped with 18k Sedna™ gold central hands, which is Omega’s patented equivalent of what would standardly be described as 18k rose gold. The “OMEGA” brand name and horseshoe logo has also been applied with their patented 18k rose gold on the upper half of the dial. There is also a date aperture at the 6 o’clock position.
