The Swiss watchmakers known as Corum, have cultivated a reputation for high-quality watches and their limited-editions, since 1955. As well as their association with the World Series of Poker back in 2007. But, today we revisit one of their more elegant models, the “Corum Classical Grande Date”.
This timepiece has a 42mm stainless steel case which sits very well on a wrist due to it’s stretched out lugs. It comes off looking slightly bigger than it is, due to the very wide flat bezel. And it’s precisely around this area that the “Corum Classical Grande Date” showcases one of this models more unique elements, with moving lugs. Be it to better adjust to a wrist size, or for positioning the watch at a better angle for pilots. The lugs swing around the over-sized crown about 45 degrees on either side.
Legibility on this timepiece is of a succinct immediacy, with its big Arabic numerals circling the bezel. The dial can be had in black or silver. Its wide hands further contribute to its quick glance simplicity for reading time. It features a day-date at the 12 o’clock position and a sub-seconds dial at the 6 o’clock positon. The sub-dial in the black modal is white, making it susceptible of being designated as a: panda dial. While the white dial modal has a white colored sub-dial, for a simpler, more discreet look.
Corum Classical Grande Date
