Breitling is adding another Navitimer GMT chronograph in a limited edition version. This aviation themed brand made this chronograph with a traveler’s soul in mind and now it has a color palette to match the explorers to the skies above and oceans below, with the aurora blue dial.

The 48mm case is made out of stainless-steel with a bi-directional bezel and a perfectly legible “instrument panel”, which also comes equipped with the famous aviation slide rule. A transparent caseback allows to see the inner movements of this timepiece, which contains a high-performance 1/4th second chronograph combined with a functional GMT complication. Its crown has a non-screw lock, in order to control the dual time-zones, but features two gaskets. Case is covered by a cambered sapphire crystal that’s been glareproofed on both sides.

Time is exhibited on a gorgeous Aurora blue dial with a sunburst finish and luminous hour index markers. The three sub-dials included provide a: 30-minute counter at the 3 o’clock position, a 12-hour counter at the 6 o’clock position and a sub-seconds at the 9 o’clock position. A red-tipped hand indicates the home time in a 24-hour mode, which helps decipher between AM/PM status. There is also a date aperture located between the 4 and 5 o’clock index markers.

This timepiece equipped with a GMT dual timezone system is completely crown-adjustable. In order to adjust the main hour hand to local time, you only need to pull out the crown and turn it in either directions for it to change in one-hour increments. There is no loss of precision while winding and the date is automatically adjusted whether moving backwards or forwards.

Breitling Navitimer GMT Aurora Blue
This “Breitling Navitimer GMT Aurora Blue” (Ref#: AB04411A/C937/258S/A20D.2) is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement, caliber Breitling 04, with 47 jewels and 28,800 vph. Power reserve can last up to 70 hours and water-resistance can reach up to 30 meters (98 feet). Mounted to the watch is a blue rubber strap adorned with an aircraft-tire tread motif, secured by a stainless-steel push-button folding clasp. This watch is a limited edition of only 1000 produced pieces.
