The “Breguet Classique Phase de Lune Dame” is the latest edition to the brand’s line of timepieces for women. The watch in question manages to keep its traditional aesthetics while keeping its woman fan base content with a new option to accessorize their lives with. Breguet gave the world a sneak peek this Christmas, pre-Basel 2016 at this classic watch, now exhibiting that astonishing complication called: Moonphase.
The “Breguet Classique Phase de Lune Dame” comes in a 30mm case made of 18k white gold, with distinctively fluted lugs and a “grand feu” white enamel dial. And though at first glance the dial seems quite simple, after a better look its subtle highlights pop out. The minutes are made up of tiny stars, with crafted fleurs-de-lys for each five minute marker, accompanied by larger Arabic numerals. All these little embellishments are trademarks Breguet is proud to provide. Just like the open-tipped blue steel hour and minute hands, originally conceived in 1783, but redesigned to fit this new watch. At the 6 o’clock position a small-seconds and the moon-phase aperture can be enjoyed.
For such an apparently simple looking watch there are so many subtle elements scattered around. Like the 66 brilliant cut diamonds covering the bezel and lugs of this time piece. And Breguet has made sure their female target market had no lack of options. Therefore the “Breguet Classique Phase de Lune Dame” can also be had in a rose gold version or a non-gem set version. Or, the same white gold, rose gold and non-gem set version can be had with a natural mother-of-pearl dial.
