The Hublot brand has issued quite a few limited edition tribute watches in remembrance of hero’s past and others still present. The ranges of personalities to receive such a tribute have mostly been linked to the sports world. The “Swiss Made” label is an honorable and distinctive label among the watch industry. Ever since the law was introduced in December 23, 1971, it has clearly defined that in order for a watch to be marked “Swiss Made” its movement must be encased and tested in Switzerland. Protecting such an image is of utmost importance for the industry’s image, profitability and quality control.  But, the ever more globalized market seems to be seeking a grey area in the law, which could eventually bring in to question: What makes a watch be designated Swiss made?…  This is a status and revenue stream Switzerland doesn’t what to jeopardize.

The Yacht-Master was intended for a more high-end lifestyle, for the type of person who may be near the water but on his own yacht, without all the sporty activity. Rolex is known for just revising and improving their collections instead of totally changing looks and adding features. It’s all about holding on to proven standards and constantly reassuring that quality can never be questioned, when it comes to any Rolex model.
