COVER- Madison Watch Week 2017-EiT

So, for those that can’t wait to get their hands physically on one of those Baselworld timepieces, they’ve seen in the press, now’s your chance! Or even watches you may have seen released at SIHH. It was due to so many customers craving the chance to wear the latest trends revealed at these biggest horology events in the world, that this week was conceived. Since these events are held in Switzerland, many fans until now could only see them online, but now their needs can be fulfilled at a shorter distance.

And of all the cities in the world, we think New York is without a doubt one of the greatest customer bases for these prized possessions. Many of these coveted timepieces are probably being shipped over the Atlantic as we type. And others are probably already stored away, awaiting for their handlers to set them up in an exhibition fashion, for a proper horology extravaganza. There will be various public and invitation-only events during the week.

This year’s participating brands include: “A. Lange Söhne”, “Asprey”, “Chopard”, “F.P. Journe”, “Freywille”, “Hublot”, “Jaeger-LeCoultre”, “Montblanc”, “Officine Panerai” and “Vacheron Constantin”. But, for those that recall last year’s event some brands haven’t returned, such as:  “De Grisogono”, “Diesel” and “Fabergé”. While other newcomers are being introduced in their place, so let’s welcome: “David Yurman”, “De Beers”, “Djula”, and “George Jensen”.

All these luxury watch brands have storefronts on North America’s largest luxury shopping district: Madison Avenue, in Manhattan. So the horology fans are invited to walk up the avenue in search of their particular favorite timepieces and pleasant surprises. Collectors and connoisseurs can also schedule individual appointments with the participating brands; or register to participate in any of the workshops taking place.
